Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique is a gentle, noninvasive technique that taps into the acupressure points of the body’s Meridian System.  The process is to tap on a set of nine acupressure points while holding the thought of pain or emotional upset.  This tapping resets or gets the ‘stuck’ energy moving.  Many times we find we have been carrying this pain as an emotional attachment.  The tapping allows a release of that attachment and the memory no longer carries a ‘charge’ for us and no longer triggers a reaction from us. In the case of an emotional upset, the memory of the incident is still present but with the charge gone we are now free to process that memory with our ‘functional filters’.

EFT is an aspect of Energy Psychology.  It is an effective technique to relieve stress and improve or eliminate physical discomfort.  It is also used to release and transform painful emotions of anxiety, sadness, anger, guilt and frustration.  It moves us beyond our self-limiting beliefs and  opens us to allow our own greater potential.

EFT is used on almost anything!

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

The success of EFT is in the doing of the tapping with a coach or partner. A person doesn’t have to understand how it works to benefit from the release results. EFT can be done in person or via the telephone. If you are interested in exploring this modality I would be happy to talk with you further.
